WORDS AND MUSIC is the name of an all new festival coming this October to the historic Cheshire Market town of Nantwich. From Thursday October 9th to Sunday October 12th inclusive, Nantwich will play host to a series of performances from leading figures from the worlds of music, poetry and literature. Shows and sessions will take place at a number of venues in and around the town including the Malbank Studio Theatre, the Crown Ballroom and Nantwich Museum. .. A first visit to the area for award winning folk superstar ELIZA CARTHY and her band playing Malbank studio theatre on Saturday October 11th. ... A special evening with iconic BBC TV and radio music presenter BOB HARRIS, telling stories and memories from his 40 years in the music business, taking questions from the audience and presenting a new acoustic artist. ... A special festival launching intimate acoustic show from internationally acclaimed chart singer/songwriter THEA GILMORE ... An 'audience' with Radio 2 presenter / novelist / musician MARK RADCLIFFE (AKA DJ MAHONE...) Mark will be reading from his new book "Thank You For The Days", sharing anecdotes about his radio shows and performing some of his own songs acoustically. ...
